Sudanese national with rare blood disorder treated in India
27 year-old Razan Salih was diagnosed with Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), a hematologic disorder in Sudan. She soon came to Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai for her treatment. While at the hospital, Razan underwent a splenectomy, performed by Dr. Charita Pradhan. For medical management, the patient was referred to Dr. Punit Jain, Consultant Hemato-Oncology & BMT Physician. The patient soon recovered from her condition and was ready to go back home. She stated that she is grateful for all the care she received and added that the staff was kind to her throughout her stay. She especially thanked her doctors and the nursing staff, and was happy to be going back to Sudan healthy and happy.
